DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Another indictment came Friday for a Dayton man wanted for the suspected rape of a child in Trotwood.
Travis Odom has been indicted by a Montgomery County grand jury for failure to notify. Odom was a registered sex offender in Tier 1, according to the Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office.
Odom was arrested in June on a charge of breaking and entering in Charlotte. According to police records there, he was living in the area.
Trotwood police were actively searching for Odom after the mother of an 11-year-old victim found Odom half-naked hiding in the closet. “Once discovered, Odom shoved his way past the mother fleeing the residence,” according to the Trotwood Police Department.
Odom was indicted earlier for the rape of a child under 13. Odom is still being held in the Montgomery County jail.
