Dog shot after Dayton Police respond to scene

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Officers shot a dog after responding to a complaint in Dayton Sunday night.

Dayton Police were called to 56 S. Erwin St. on reports of a protection order violation. When they arrived officers shot a dog on the scene.

Dispatchers say the dog was taken to the Montgomery County Animal Resource Center for treatment.
