Man injured in Dayton shooting

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A man is in the hospital after being shot Sunday afternoon.

Dayton police say it happened near the intersection of Fairview Avenue and Catalpa Drive around 2:30 p.m.

Authorities say a male victim in his 20s was walking on Fairview Avenue when a man in a black car with dark tinted windows shot twice at him.

One bullet missed the man, the other struck him in the hand. Dayton police say the man ran to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Hospital staff notified police of the shooting. A suspect has yet to be arrested.
