TROY, Ohio (WDTN) – Arrest warrants have been issued for two of the five men suspected in an attempted home invasion last week.

Miami County Deputies are looking for 23-year-old James E. Benton, of Clayton, for aggravated burglary — as well as 21-year-old Eric A. Santos of Dayton.

Three other men are wanted for their suspected involvement, including the suspect who drove the getaway car, Chief Deputy Dave Duchak said.

Deputies were called just after 11 p.m. at North Montgomery County Line Road, near Haber Road, according to our partners at the Troy Daily News.

The homeowner called 911 and said a group of men kicked in the door of his house and shot at him.

The man told deputies he got his own gun and fired back, hitting one of the men in the leg.

That man is still in the hospital, where deputies are keeping a close eye on him. The other two suspects are believed to be on the run, Duchak said.
