Child found in pool Saturday dies


DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office confirmed to 2 NEWS Wednesday the child that was found a Clayton pool over the weekend has died.

2-year-old Kameron Vanatta was found unresponsive after he fell into a pool Saturday.

Kameron died in the early hours of Wednesday morning at Dayton Children’s Hospital in the Intensive Care Unit according to Clayton Police. The Montgomery County Coroner’s office said he died from injuries he suffered after a near-drowning.

Emergency crews were called to the 5300 block of Hillgrove Avenue just after 4:00 Saturday afternoon.
