SIDNEY, Ohio (WDTN) — The Sidney and Piqua Police Departments worked together to arrest four people on drug charges on Wednesday.
Tactical officers from both departments executed a narcotics search warrant at a home in the 400 block of N. Miami Avenue in Sidney. Police say the Tactical Response Team was used due to a higher risk to safety officers.
Once the response team secured the area, investigators from the Sidney Police Department searched the home.
They found a large amount of heroin, meth, money, capsules, syringes and other drug paraphernalia. Police arrested four people and took them to the Shelby County Jail.
- David T Copeland, age 26, 434 ½ N Miami Ave Sidney. One felony count of Drug Possession and one felony count of Permitting Drug Abuse.
- Alisha R Croft, age 29, 434 ½ N Miami Ave Sidney. One felony count of Drug Possession and one felony count of Permitting Drug Abuse.
- Trenton W Woods, age 28, 46 S. Alder St, Dayton, Ohio. One felony count of Complicity.
- Michael A Lewis Jr. age 35, address at large. One felony count of Tampering with Evidence and one felony count of Drug Trafficking.
Police say the raid was part of continuing effort by the Sidney Police Department to combat drug abuse and drug trafficking in Sidney.
