ENGLEWOOD, Ohio (WDTN) — A brake issue led to a semi-trailer fire that has shut down two lanes of traffic on I-70 in Englewood.
It happened just before 3:30 a.m. on Friday on I-70 westbound near the SR 48 exit.
Englewood Police Dispatch says when officers arrived on the scene, the trailer of the semi was fully engulfed in flames.
Authorities say the fire started in the semi’s brakes and spread to the trailer. The truck was hauling applesauce and prune juice, according to authorities on the scene.
Police shutdown I-70 westbound for clean-up. One lane has since reopened.
No injuries have been reported.
