12 arrested in Indiana drug bust, 4 from Dayton

BROOKVILLE, Ind. (WDTN) – A traffic stop in Indiana led to the search of a home and the arrest of 12 people, including four from Ohio.

Investigators say police in Laurel, Indiana, a town about 35 miles west of Cincinnati, stopped a car for what police say was a minor traffic infraction early Sunday morning.  During the stop, officers found three ounces of methamphetamine and two firearms.

Franklin County Drug Task Force Officers were called to the scene to help with the investigation. Officers then learned information that led them to search a home in Laurel, Indiana.

The four people in the car, all from Dayton, were arrested.

After the search of the Laurel home, eight more people were arrested after police found four ounces of crystal methamphetamine, which police say has a street value of $14,000. Several guns were seized as well as a small amount of heroin and marijuana.

The four people from Dayton who were arrested are:

  • Wayne Seiber, 51
  • Sara Smith, 23
  • Dena Beach, 32
  • William Slonaker, Jr., 40

Seiber, Smith and Beach all face felony drug charges while Slonaker is charged with a misdemeanor of visiting a common nuisance.

The remaining eight people are all from Laurel, Indiana. All 12 arrested are in the Franklin County Security Center.
