UD celebrates 100 years of ROTC

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The University of Dayton is celebrating the centennial of its Army ROTC Training Program today.

This afternoon members of the ROTC Program and teachers welcomed the student body to take part in their rappelling training.

“We’re really celebrating how long this program has been on campus and how many cadets have gone through the program and have gone on to be phenomenal officers and going into all different branches of the Army,” Cadet, UD Army ROTC Madeline Seiller said.

The University’s program is one of the oldest and longest running the country.
