SAN MARCOS, TX (KXAN) – A Texas woman is facing serious charges after being arrested late Wednesday night for three counts of trafficking a child and three counts of compelling prostitution. The Hays County Sheriff’s Department is charging 43-year-old Nancy Cisneros.
According to court documents, the case dates back to June 29, 2015. The documents read that Cisneros knowingly trafficked the victim by posting online escort advertisements to Backpage.com and securing various hotels for the purpose of engaging in continued acts of prostitution.
The 16-year-old victim tells investigators that she met Cisneros through a friend who she knows to be a prostitute. Cisneros then passed on the victim’s name and number to a man identified as Bernell Quillens.
Quillens eventually contacted the victim by sending a picture of money in a hotel room and asked her if he could pick her up and “get started making money.” The victim gave Quillens her address and he picked her up at 1 a.m. on June 29, 2015. When Quillens arrived he had another man in his car identified as Cameron White. The victim says White did all the driving over the next few days.
According to court documents, Quillens and White would only pick up the 16-year-old girl when her mom was either asleep or at work because the victim had a curfew. According to the victim, the two men would drive her to a hotel in San Marcos where they took pictures of her and posted them on an online escort advertising service.
Over the course of the next few days, the victim says she would meet with men and have sex with them for money. The victim says, the money she made would go directly to Quillens.
On an unknown date, court documents show that Quillens and White picked up the victim from her home and drove her to a 7-11 in Kyle. The victim says Cisneros met them at the 7-11 and approached the car and said “b*** better make me some money because I own her.” Documents show that Quillens and Cisneros then exchanged money.
The CEO of Backpage.com, Carl Ferrer, was recently arrested and is facing charges for pimping. The Backpage headquarters were raided in Dallas last week for a human trafficking investigation. The website is an adult site, which authorities say makes millions each year from classified sex advertisements.
