Doctor alleges Delta discrimination

(KPRC) – A Texas doctor is accusing a Delta Airlines flight attendant of discrimination.

Dr. Tamika Cross was on a Delta flight from Detroit to Houston when she heard someone sitting two rows in front of her screaming for help.

The flight attendant yelled to see if there was a doctor on board. Cross volunteered, and was immediately rebuffed.

According to her Facebook post, the airline employee said, “Oh sweetie, put your hand down. We are looking for actual physicians or nurses or some type of medical personnel. Let me see your credentials. What type of doctor are you? Where do you work? Why were you in Detroit?”

Cross wrote that another passenger, an older white gentleman, who said he was a doctor, ending up helping the man who’d been unresponsive.
