Man found dead inside Dayton home ID’d

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Police are investigating a homicide after a man was found dead inside a home Sunday night.

48-year-old James W. Bowen was found at a house in the 300  block of Xenia Ave. around 8:15 p.m.

Officials say the initial call came in as an overdose and after a preliminary investigation the case could be ruled as a murder.

The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office will be conducting an autopsy on Monday, results could take up to 8 weeks to return. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
