Remodeled and expanded library open in Kettering

KETTERING, Ohio (WDTN) –  A newly remodeled library in Kettering officially opened its doors Monday.

The Kettering branch of the Dayton Metro Library, located on Far Hills between Dorothy Lane and Stroop Road, held their Grand Re-Opening Ceremony Monday. The library has been remodeled and expanded to include a quiet room, a children’s area, study areas and other amenities.

The extensively remodeled building also features a flexible Community Room, which will be accessible before and after library hours, equipped with a professional-grade sound system and ceiling-mounted projectors. Parking is accessible through an improved entrance/exit driveway on Far Hills Avenue.

Residents can tour the library Monday from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Normal hours will resume Tuesday. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
