University: One victim of plane crash attended WSU

LEBANON, Ohio (WDTN) – Of the two men who died in a plane crash Sunday attended Wright State University in the early 90’s, the university confirmed with 2 NEWS.

Eric A. Hackney, 43, was killed when the plane he was in crashed near Fort Ancient in Warren County Sunday. Both men resided in Punta Gorda, Florida.

WSU says Hackney attended Wright State from the fall of 1991 to the spring of 1993 but did not graduate. He completed two academic years there.

The Warren County Coroner’s Office identified Jesse Loy, 36, as the other victim in the crash.
