Local sports shops seeing spike in business from World Series

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Local business are cashing in on the success of the Cleveland Indians. At Rally House in Dayton, World Series Merchandise is going pretty fast.

Only a few shirts are left from the first order they got in over the weekend.

Right now, they are fully stocked on Cleveland Indians merchandise–that they carry regularly in the store. They say the hoodies and long-sleeve shirts have been the tops sellers so far.

Business is just now starting to pick-up with game one happening Tuesday night. They really don’t expect business boom until the games get going.

Many people will people will wait for World Champions gear if the Indians are luckily enough to pull off a win.

“Once we see how they do we will get more stuff in,” Rachel Terry said. “Especially if we get a couple big wins. We expect to get World Series stuff in after they win also.”

The World Series begins Tuesday night at 8:08 p.m.
