Man killed in overnight Dayton shooting identified

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — The man killed in a quadruple shooting in Dayotn Tuesday night has been identifierd.

The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office  tells 2 NEWS 27-year-old Brandon Lanier from Dayton was killed in the shooting that injured three others.

Dayton Police are still investigating the shooting that happened around 11:45 p.m. Tuesday near Ryburn and Riverside in Dayton.

When police got to the scene they found one person, a black male in his mid to late twenties dead.

While police investigated, three other victims found a ride and were taken to Good Samaritan Hospital.

One of those victims is suffering life-threatening injuries.

At the scene — the street and sidewalk were littered with evidence markers. Dayton Police believe upwards of 50 rounds were fired.

Dayton Police Lt. Mark Ponichtera says investigators are searching for a black Chevy Impala with silver doors, or a silver Impala with black doors.
