DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Family and friends of 60-year-old Lynn Shackelford gathered in the 600 block of Summit Square Drive Sunday night for a vigil.

Shackelford was fatally shot inside his town home late Friday night.

Dayton police arrested 27-year-old Ralphiel Harris in connection to the incident. He’s being held in Montgomery county jail and is charged with murder.

According to Shackelford’s family members, the two knew each other and said Harris would borrow money from Shackelford when he needed to.

Kylynn Shackelford said her father would help anyone who asked.

“My daddy was great, golden hearted,” she said.
