CELINA, Ohio (WDTN) – The Mercer County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a 19-year-old woman.

According to Sheriff Jeff Grey, the woman had fallen from a truck in a farm field in the 6000 block of Burkettsville-St. Henry Road.

Deputies were called to the field around 12:30 Sunday morning.

Deputies learned a pickup truck was doing “donuts” in the farm field when Alivia Nuding from Celina, who was sitting on the right front passenger’s lap, fell out of the truck. Passengers inside the truck said the Nuding accidentally opened the passenger door and was thrown from the truck while it was moving.

Sheriff Grey says there were four other people in the truck at the time of the accident.

Nuding was taken to Mercer Health by ambulance where she was pronounced dead.

The incident is still under investigation. No one has been charged in this accident but Sheriff Grey says the investigation will be sent to the Prosecutor’s Office for review when it is complete.
