BROOKVILLE, Ohio (WDTN) — Police have arrested 27-year-old Conrad Davis in connection with the shooting of a Brookville Police officer.
Davis was taken into custody around 7:45 a.m. on Tuesday while he was hiding inside an RV in the 7400 block of Brookville-Phillipsburg Road in Clay Township.

Police held Davis at gunpoint before he finally surrendered. He was found one house away from where he ditched a vehicle police had been looking for during the nearly nine-hour search.
As he was transferred to the Montgomery County Jail, Davis told 2 News he was “sorry” for what happened.
Police Dispatch says someone called in a tip that the vehicle police were searching for had been dumped in a pond in the 7500 block of Brookville-Phillipsburg Road. Officers found the vehicle just before 7 a.m. on Tuesday.
Police were searching for a blue Subaru Forester with Tennessee license plates.
A woman was shot and killed and a Brookville Police Officer was wounded during the shooting at a gas station.
It happened on Monday night at the Speedway gas station in the 700 block of Arlington Road near I-70.
Brookville Police say they were responding to a call around 9:45 p.m. on Monday about an incident involving two vehicles on the interstate. According to police, the Ohio State Highway Patrol was also responding to that incident. It’s unclear whether it was a chase or some other kind of incident.
While on the way, police say a crash happened and a suspect from the reported incident ended up on foot. Police located the suspect in the gas station parking lot, and two officers exchanged gunfire with the suspect.
One of the officers was shot in the arm. A woman who is also involved in the incident, was shot and killed.
Both officers involved in the shooting are on administrative leave with pay, per department policy. The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the shooting.
Witnesses to the shooting describe a chaotic scene.
“When I first got here it was pandemonium,” Marshall Kilgore said. “Police everywhere, medics, fire department, everything.”
“The whole scene was filled up with lights, people everywhere,” Kilgore said. “I mean it was a big crowd of people coming to see what happened.”
Kilgore said he’s hopeful the wounded officer will be okay.
“I don’t know who the officer is yet, but we pray for his family,” Kilgore said. “We hope the best for them and all the officers.”
“I mean, officers are a big part, work with the community here in Brookville,” Kilgore said. “They have a good relationship.”
“For something like this to happen, it’s really a horrible thing.”
Law enforcement from the Brookville Police Department, Dayton Police Department, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, and Englewood EMS assisted at the scene.
Brookville Police are expected to speak with the media again on Tuesday to provide an update on the investigation.
