One person was taken to Miami Valley Hospital due to smoke inhalation.

A witness says the person taken to the hospital was a bouncer who worked at Ned Pepper’s. Witnesses say that person went into the burning apartment to rescue a dog. The dog was reportedly fine.

A firefighter was also taken to Miami Valley for treatment of minor injuries.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. There are no reports about the extent of the damage to the apartment or the bar below it at this time.
