SEATTLE, WA (WCMH) — Washington prosecutors say she injected her three young children with heroin to make them go to sleep.
Investigators said that Child Protective Services were called when someone said they saw Ashlee Hutt inject her three kids, ages 6, 4, and 2 with the drug.
“Some of the statements they made were very disturbing about how they would get sleeping juice to go to sleep and it was injected to them by needle,” Detective Ed Troyer told KIRO.
Police say the 6-year-old told them his parents would give him and his sister “feel good medicine” that he described as a white powder mixed with water.
Two of the children tested positive for what is believed to be low levels of heroin.
Police continue to investigate, but Hutt’s children were taken away from her in 2015.
