Man injured in industrial accident

CELINA, Ohio (WDTN) — A man was hospitalized after an industrial accident at Rubber Recycling Technology Inc. in Celina.

The Celina Fire Department says they responded to a call in the 400 block of Grand Lake Road just after 9:20 p.m. on Tuesday on a call of a man with his arm stuck in a forklift mast.

It took firefighters more than an hour and a half to free the man.

He was transported by CareFlight to a trauma center due to the extent of his injuries. His name and condition are not being released.

The Celina Police Department, Crown Corporation maintenance personnel, Coldwater Hospital and employees of Rubber Recycling Technology Inc. assisted in the man’s extrication from the forklift.
