DAYTON (WDTN) — A Dayton printing business was up all night from Wednesday into Thursday, helping people commemorate the Chicago Cubs World Series championship.
Titan Graphics started printing t-shirts for the Cubs victory as soon as Game Seven ended on Wednesday night. The Cubs beat the Cleveland Indians 8-7 in 10 innings to capture the franchises first World Series title since 1908.
The company planned to print 12,000 shirts on the Cubs World Series win. That process was set to take 8-10 hours, and that meant everyone pulling together to help fill the order.
“We’ve done hot market events for a long time, so this is nothing new to us,” said Bob Thomas, VP of Operations for Titan Graphics. “It’s just a wonderful feeling, everybody pulling together.”
“It’s really a team effort to make something like this happen.”
Titan Graphics had a deal in place to print shirts for either team that won the World Series. Thomas said the company would’ve printed 8,000 Indians championship shirts, had Cleveland won Game Seven.
The Cubs shirts printed overnight will be available online from Major League Baseball.
