DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A Dayton man is in custody after members of multiple law enforcement jurisdictions arrest him for charges related to child rape.
Robert Taylor, 53, is accused of raping a child under the age of 13 “over the course of several years,” according to a press release from the U.S. Marshals.
An arrest warrant was issued for Taylor on Oct. 19, but was reportedly “avoiding police contact” after it was issued, according to the release.
According to jail records, Taylor was booked into jail around 8:45 a.m. Tuesday.
He faces charges of rape of a child under 13 and disseminating matter harmful to juveniles.
He is scheduled to appear in court at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, according to jail records.
