COLUMBUS, Ohio (WDTN) – Governor John Kasich had made no secret of his feelings toward Donald Trump during the campaign season.

Kasich did not attend the GOP Convention held in Cleveland and has been critical of both Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. Kasich cast his presidential ballot for Senator John McCain and donated money from his campaign fund to every Republican in a competitive Senate race.

Wednesday, the governor sent a tweet congratulating the President-elect:

Kasich posted mostly about down-ballot races Tuesday.

Kasich vote for McCain did not count because the Senator was not one of the certified write-in candidates.
