Police officer injured in 3-vehicle crash

4 people were hospitalized, including a police officer, after a 3-vehicle crash in Huber Heights on Bellfontaine Road.

HUBER HEIGHTS, Ohio (WDTN) — A police officer was hospitalized after a three-vehicle crash in Huber Heights on Wednesday night.

It happened just after 6 p.m. on Wednesday on Bellfontaine Road.

Police say an officer was helping a disabled vehicle when another car rammed the back of the police cruiser.

The impact caused the patrol cruiser to hit the officer.

The officer was hospitalized. His condition is unknown at this time.

Three other people were taken to the hospital with undisclosed injuries as well.

Police say they believe the driver who hit the patrol cruiser was under the influence.
