Franklin Police investigate armed robbery at gas station

FRANKLIN, Ohio (WDTN) — Franklin Police are searching for a suspect after an armed robbery at a gas station on Thursday night.

It happened around 8:45 p.m. on Thursday at the Speedway in the 1200 block of East Second Street.

Police say a man entered the store with his hand in his jacket pocket and asked the clerk for money. The suspect then fled the store on food with an undisclosed amount of cash, running east towards Fifth Third Bank.

The suspect is described as a white man standing 5’07” with hazel eyes. He was wearing a dark navy hoodie underneath a dark gray winter coat. He may have been wearing jeans.

Middletown Police K-9 tracked the suspect from the Speedway to the rear of the Frisch’s Big Boy, where a vehicle may have been parked. The suspect was not found.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call Fairborn Police at 937-746-2882.
