COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — A prosecutor has asked two state criminal investigation agencies to recreate the scene of a shooting of an Ohio man earlier this year by two plainclothes officers who said the man opened fire on them.

The family of victim Henry Green has called for a fully independent investigation into Green’s death on June 6.

Green’s family and a friend walking with him say Columbus police didn’t identify themselves when they began yelling at Green.

Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O’Brien said Thursday at his request the state Bureau of Criminal Investigation made a 3D scan of the scene where Green was shot.

O’Brien says he asked the state Ohio Organized Crime Investigating Commission to use the scan to recreate the scene with 3D animation. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
