Montgomery Co. corrections officer jailed on federal charges

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A local corrections officer is jailed on a single charge of conveyance.

Twenty-nine-year-old Michael Rose Jr. was booked into the Shelby County Jail Friday around 6 p.m.

Rose is employed at the Montgomery County Jail, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. The arrest is related to bringing a cell phone into the jail to give to an inmate, the sheriff’s office tells 2 NEWS.
