Woman charged after teen daughter found living in home with exotic animals

HOUSTON, TX (WCMH) — The woman was charged with child endangerment after police found her 14-year-old daughter living alongside tigers, cougars and other exotic animals.

According to KPRC, when police investigated the home of Trisha Meyer they found three tigers, a cougar, a skunk and a fox roaming freely around the house.

Meyer also told police she had several monkeys.

Meyer was charged with child endangerment because her 14-year-old old daughter was also in the house with the uncaged animals.

Police told KPRC, Meyer had permits for the tigers, but not for the skunks or foxes.

Meyer is being held on a $2,000 bail after being arrested.
