Butler Co. Sheriff’s Office takes a swing at Mannequin Challenge

HAMILTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The Butler County Sheriff’s Office is taking a swing at the popular “Mannequin Challenge.”

The latest viral phenomenon sweeping the internet consists of people standing still as part of the trend.

Videos of the challenge feature posing as mannequins in dramatic postures.

At the end of the Butler County Sheriff’s Office video, sheriff Richard Butler appears in the video to tell his employees to go back to work, where he starts to drop lyrics to “Work” by Rhianna.

The videos are set to the song “Black Beatles” by rap duo Rae Sremmurd. The group has taken notice, holding a live version of the challenge during a concert.

The Ohio State Football and OSU’s Women’s Gymnastics teams are among thousands of groups of people who have participated in the trend.
