MIAMI TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WDTN) – A convicted killer has been charged with compelling prostitution in the Miami Valley.
Darryl Core, 44, was arrested after the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office underwent a prostitution sting where they found an ad for a prostitute. Once police met up with the woman, she told them that Core was the one would drive her to her “dates,” according to the Montgomery County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
Core previously served time in prison from March 1991 to March 2007 for an involuntary manslaughter charge stemming from Montgomery County, according to Montgomery County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. A male was the victim, according to the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections’ website.
He also served time for charges of abduction and gross sexual imposition that happened in Champaign County. The victim in that case was a female.
He was released from prison in January 2016, according to ODRC.
Core is currently on active parole until the year 2021.
He is currently being held at the Montgomery County Jail on a $100,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court at 8:30 a.m. Nov. 22.
