Man arrested in Kettering for shooting at newspaper delivery vehicle

KETTERING, Ohio (WDTN) — A man has been arrested in Kettering after firing a gun at a newspaper delivery vehicle early on Monday morning.

Kettering Police confirm Kenneth Ignozzi, 27, has been booked into the Kettering Jail. He’s been charged with aggravated assault; however, more charges could be pending following the investigators meeting with prosecutors.

Police say two people were driving in a vehicle around 6 a.m. on Monday on Carrier Avenue when Ignozzi fired through the driver’s side rear window.

The bullet hit the headrest, missing the driver by a few inches. The bullet then ricocheted into the passenger side, where it grazed a sweatshirt worn by the other person in the vehicle.

Neither person was injured.

After the shooting, the victim’s drove the car to the Kettering Police station to report the incident. Officers went back to the scene of the shooting, and working from the victim statement’s, plus accounts from witnesses, were able to make an arrest. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
