Police arrest 2 after Sidney drug investigation and search

SIDNEY, Ohio (WDTN) – The Sidney Police Department said Tuesday they served simultaneous narcotics search warrants and arrested two people on drug trafficking charges.

Police say the two searches were performed Tuesday morning after 9:00 at two different locations on Amherst Drive.

According to a release from Sidney Police, detectives found cocaine, marijuana and cash at both locations. Officers also found and seized a handgun from a vehicle at one of the addresses in the 1200 block of Amherst Drive.

Two people were arrested and taken to the Shelby County Jail.

Bruce Davis, 35, of 1208 Amherst Dr., was charged with one count of Trafficking in Cocaine.  Dock H Foy Jr, 27, of 1210 Amherst Dr., was charged with one count of Trafficking in Marijuana.

Police say the warrant was a result of a lengthy investigation by Sidney Narcotics Investigators.  It is believed that Davis and Foy were working together to sell and distribute narcotics.

This warrant execution is a continuing effort by the Sidney Police Department to combat drug abuse and drug trafficking in Sidney. All citizens are asked that if they have any information about drug activity to contact the Sidney Police Department at 937-498-8777 or Crime Stoppers at 937-492-8477 (TIPS).
