DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – It’s one of the busiest travel days of the year as people head back home from Thanksgiving trips. Dayton International Airport saw a steady flow of traveling throughout the weekend, but did not experience any major delays or overcrowding.
Roughly 48.7 million people are traveling during the holiday. In Ohio, roughly two million people hit the roads or traveled the sky during the Thanksgiving holiday. The roads were the busiest as 63% drove to their destination, while 33% took to the airways.
According to a TripAdvisor survey, Thanksgiving travel was up by 7% this year and 22% will be traveling home today from their holiday getaway.
