Carillon Tree of Light kicks off Wednesday

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The Dayton skyline will get a little brighter tonight when the annual Carillon Christmas kicks off with the lighting of the tree of light.

2 NEWS Today’s Brooke Moore and John Seibel will be flipping the switch live tonight at 5:30 p.m.

Brady Kress, President/CEO of Dayton History, Carillon Park, says “We will have Santa here welcoming the guest so we are really excited about that. The Carillon Christmas continue for 30 days and if you haven’t had a chance to be in Carillon at night it takes on a whole different personality. It really is a pretty place to be and the lights we’ve added it should be magical for everybody.”

Kress says they’ve made adjustments by adding extra support cables to withstand some high winds. New this year is that visitors will be able to go inside the park at night.
