DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Two proposals submitted for the sale and redevelopment of the Montgomery County Fairgrounds in September were formally denied Wednesday.
The proposals, from Miller-Valentine Group and Thompson Thrift Retail Group “did not meet the selection criteria outlined in the request for proposals,” according to a release from Montgomery County.
The City of Dayton, Montgomery County and the Agriculture Society Board will look at options for the Fairgrounds as we move into the new year, according to the release.
In May, county officials told 2 NEWS that the county fairgrounds would be sold to the highest bidder.
The fair board is seeking a minimum bid of $15 million to redevelop the property.
