Prosecutor approves charges in assault that left victim naked, bound and stranded

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The Montgomery County Prosecuting Attorney has approved charges for three suspects accused of kidnapping, beating and raping a victim.

The charges have not yet been presented to the Montgomery County Grand Jury.

The victim was found Sunday in the 600 block of Kenilworth Avenue in Dayton. The 9-1-1 caller told police that he or she saw the victim pull the trunk release and jump out of a moving vehicle and fall onto the pavement.

A 9-1-1 caller told police that the victim was moving, but was bleeding heavily.

The victim told investigators that she went to a house in Dayton with her friend, Jennifer Rice. That’s where she was assaulted and raped.

The following people have been approved for the following charges:

  • Cassidy Lake – kidnapping, felonious assault and rape
  • Jennifer Rice – assault and kidnapping
  • James Cargle – kidnapping, rape and felonious assault.
