NEW YORK CITY (WDTN) — President-elect Donald Trump says he’s leaving his company “in total” to focus on the Presidency.

Trump posted a series of Tweets to his Twitter page early on Wednesday saying he would hold a press conference with his family on December 15th.

At that press conference, Trump is expected to announce he’s leaving his business to his children.

Trump had been under criticism for exposing himself to potential conflicts if he kept a role in his global business while being president.

He says he’s not mandated by law to step away from his business interests.

But, he tweeted legal documents are being prepared to remove him from his business operations.

Trump tweeted that “The Presidency is a far more important task!” provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
