Crash with school bus sends two children to hospital

WAPAKONETA, Ohio (WDTN) – Troopers from the Wapakoneta Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol are investigating a three vehicle crash that sent two children to local hospital for possible injuries.

It happened Thursday morning at 7:22 a.m. on U.S. 33 east of Wapak-Fisher Road in Auglaize County.

A Wapakoneta city school bus was stopped on U.S. 33 facing west with lights and stop sign activating preparing to to pick up children from a residence.

When a car traveling east on U.S. 33 did not slow for the stopped school bus hit a stopped van forcing it into the children and the school bus.

The crash remains under investigation.
