Strange male reported inside UD student housing

Dayton, Ohio (WDTN) – University of Dayton police issued a safety advisory after two female students reported finding a strange male in their home.

Police were dispatched to a house on Stonemill Rd. at 3:15 a.m. Saturday on reports that an unknown male had entered her bedroom and touched her leg while she was sleeping.  The intruder left when she awoke.

Another female resident reported that the male had also entered her room, but left when she confronted him.

Officers searched the area, but couldn’t find him.

The suspect is described as a male with short hair, medium build and height.

If you have additional information regrading this incident, contact the Department of Public Safety dispatcher at 937-229-2121.

Police advise students to lock doors and windows when leaving the residence and before retiring for the night.  Please do not leave  personal items unattended in a public area. Keep cash and other small valuables out of sight.
