Snow accumulations throughout the Miami Valley Tuesday

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Snow blanketed parts of the Miami Valley Tuesday as the weather front moved in.

In Moraine, snowfall reached 3 inches around 1:30 p.m.

The Dayton Airport saw roughly 2.5 inches. CVG in Cincinnati saw less than one-inch of snow.

Most of the area will see 2-4 inches with some isolated spots picking up 5 inches.

Weather conditions worsened as the snow fell throughout Dayton, reducing visibility for drivers down to a half-mile.

The snowfall is expected to taper off around 5 p.m., giving drivers mostly dry conditions heading home, with a chance of a few slick spots — so use caution.

Once the snow stops falling, the Miami Valley will be hit with cold temperatures in the next few days. Highs will reach mid-20’s Wednesday and the low-teens on Thursday.
