Body found in Dayton street identified

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A body found lying in a Dayton street Friday afternoon has been identified.

The body was found on Negley Place and Edwin C. Moses Boulevard.

A witness told police they saw someone in a red truck dump the man’s body out of the truck and drive away.

The call came in around 2 p.m. Medics have arrived and pronounced the man dead at the scene. Police tell us there were no visible injuries to the man’s body.

The Montgomery County Coroner’s office has identified him as 49-year-old David M. Mulllins of Camden, Ohio.

Sgt. Creigee S. Coleman is urging anyone with information to do as the witness did and report what you see.

“We cannot allow something like this to happen. I’m glad we had a witness who saw this happen, who gave police a call, and with their help hopefully we can solve this crime,” he said.

The incident is under investigation.
