Police: Nursing home attic caught on fire

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WDTN) – A nursing home in Springfield caught fire late Tuesday morning.

It happened around 11:15 a.m. at the Southbrook Care Center.

Officials say an electrical box in the nursing home’s attic caught fire.

According to officials, 25 people evacuated the nursing.

The Springfield Fire Chief said lightning could have caused this fire, but the case is still under investigation.
