PLEASANT HILL, Ohio (WDTN) — The garage of a Pleasant Hill home was destroyed by fire early on Thursday morning.

The Miami County Sheriff’s Office says someone called 911 to report the fire at a house in the 700 block of N. S.R. 48 around 3:50 a.m. on Thursday.

According to the sheriff’s office, a deputy at the scene reported the garage of the home was fully engulfed in flames.

The homeowner says the fire was small at first, but spread quickly. He believes an attic fan may have caused the fire.

The family was home at the time of the fire, but everyone got out safely.

Firefighters have not released a possible cause of the fire or an estimate of damages.
