Several mailboxes smashed at Springboro subdivision

SPRINGBORO, Ohio (WDTN) – Residents in a Springboro neighborhood found their mailboxes smashed Saturday morning.

Springboro police believe at least 100 mailboxes were destroyed. Officials say they have arrested the suspects behind the damage.

“You live in a neighborhood and you think it’s one of the safest areas. It is safe, however, I don’t know but kids get bored and it causes a lot of money to be spent on things that wouldn’t need to be fixed before.”, says resident Candice Hatch.

Resident Sean Grey adds, “Everybody here takes care of their lawn and their property. To have someone come by and destroy a bunch of stuff is a little out of character.”

The identities of the those in custody have not been released. Springboro police ask anyone whose mailbox was damaged to give them a call at 937-748-0611.
