Shooting turns into a crash in Trotwood

TROTWOOD, Ohio (WDTN) – Police are investigating after a shooting ends in a crash in Trotwood Sunday evening.

Officials say one of the vehicles involved caught fire and an intersection had to be shutdown while crews investigated.

The crash happened at the intersection of Diamond Mill Road and Wolf Creek Pike around 5:45 p.m.

Witnesses say a driver started shooting at another driver before the victim crashed his car in a yard. That 20-year-old victim was taken to the hospital and was not struck by any bullets.

Officials are searching for the suspect who got away in a black 4-door Chevy Impala.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Trotwood Police Department.
