Local fire department receives a nationally recognized award

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) –  One local fire department received an award for quality treatment of patients who experience severe heart attacks.

The Kettering Fire Department received the American Heart Association’s Mission: Lifeline EMS Gold Plus  Award. The fire department is one of eight departments awarded with this honor in Ohio this year.

The fire department will be nationally recognized by the American Heart Association.
