Officials: People in boat did not wear life jackets

XENIA, Ohio (WDTN) –  Officials rescued two people out of the Little Miami River Wednesday.

It happened at the 2500 block of Indian Ripple Road.

Officials say two people were out on the river and the boat tipped over.

Officials also say the people in the boat were not wearing life jackets.

Rescuers had to bring the victims to the surface one at a time. The two people that were in the boat are expected to be okay, according to reports.

Official say people need to always wear life jackets out on the water.
