Vandalia Police to wear body cameras

VANDALIA, Ohio (WDTN) –  Vandalia police will soon be wearing body-cameras.

City council approved the purchase this week.

The city is buying 26 cameras with software and it’s costing the city 53 thousand dollars.

The move is intended to continue the Police Division’s effort to increase community and officer safety and transparency. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
